HOW TO REQUEST FOR A REFUND AT KNUST: Payment of tuition fees, hostel fees, and the rest relating to academics are some of the challenges students and parents face as they try to secure education for themselves or their children. Most people have to go through hard times to be able to pay for their school fees. This can be a result of their being from a financially unstable family or other undesirable situations.
Brilliant students mostly get scholarships after struggling to pay for their fees. KNUST gives students like that the option to request a refund if they wish to. The refund should be that it either request the excess money if you paid some of the fees or all of the scholarship amount if you paid all of the fees before the scholarship was given.
Again, students who are not on a scholarship but have excess money in their school account can request a refund. Note that the refund letter should include the details of the bank account for the payment, and that account should be the one that paid the fees.
Refunding money to students does not have a specific time to be executed when you submit the letter since there might be other letters already there before yours. We’ll add a sample of a refund letter to KNUST at the end of the reading.
HOW TO REQUEST FOR A REFUND AT KNUST
- Write a refund letter directed to the finance officer. The letter should contain all the information they’ll need for the transaction.
- Submit a hard copy of the letter to the finance office at the main administration block and a receipt from the bank that contains information on payments you’ve made to that bank account.
Note that for those requesting a scholarship refund, make sure you haven’t benefited from more than one sponsorship through the university during that academic year for the refund to be possible.
